An idea
From 2000 to 2002, the idea grew to create a NGO.

In Morocco, a Swiss couple works in a hospital in the departments of physiotherapy and prosthetics. In 2005, the Ministry of Health evaluates service quality and classes that department among the top three at national level.

In Switzerland, a few friends agree to start a voluntary work.

A NGO
CTS is founded in 2002.

CTS decides to support the development of structures for children with special needs.

A Moroccan partner
In 2003, CTS signs a partnership with an association of parents of children with special needs.

Several activities start and are tested with this partner. They are then decentralized to the region.

Computer programs serving Children with disabilities
Between 2004 and 2010, an engineer of CTS brings together a set of computer educational activities and organizes them in different levels and types. The child can discover how to use the mouse and keyboard, can create, develop his / her logic, exercise calculation, learn new words ... Lesson plans are prepared and tested in a workshop with a dozen computers. The children enjoy much these educational activities.

These activities are introduced in other associations and primary schools. Dozens of installation CD are distributed. Several computers are installed in homes of children with special needs. Visit clicnact to know more and download the activities.

Special Education
Between 2004 and 2010, CTS provides a dozen volunteers who work in classrooms for children with special needs. These volunteers stay for 2 to 9 months.

CTS encourages and advises another local association. They will be at the start of a  degree in special education in an university and they'll set up a school for one hundred children with special needs.

Rehabilitation of children with Cerebral Palsy
From 2003 to 2010, physiotherapists of CTS train help-physiotherapists and manage a department of rehabilitation.

The medical aspect is complemented by coaching for the families because they play the main role in the holistic development  of their children with special needs.

The model of the first center is repeated in 4 other cities in the region between 2007 and 2009. CTS provides the equipment for the rehabilitation rooms.

18 help-physiotherapists are trained. In 2009, 11 are working for 6 associations in 4 different locations. 125 children are supported by structures directly supervised by CTS and a hundred others are treated with help-physiotherapist trained by CTS.

A dozen families are visited and receive training at their home because they cannot afford to come regularly to therapy centers.

Technical aids and orthopedic
From 2004 to 2009, CTS sets up a workshop for special devices and orthopedic aids. The workshop produces equipment for rehabilitation rooms and orthopedic splints. The workshop is financially viable from 2008.

Awareness programs
Meetings with parents of children with special needs are organized. Different topics are presented and discussed.

Life stories are told in pictorial brochures in French and Arabic. A video is produced in colloquial Arabic. This material is widely distributed to the population, to medical and to paramedical staff.

Special education teaching
In 2008 and 2009, CTS runs a module in an university course "comprehensive approach to disability."

Be honored and go
In the middle of 2009, CTS is invited to attend the inauguration of the new buildings of its main partner in the presence of the highest authorities of the country.

Six months later, political events cause the departure of some staff of CTS. The remaining staff prefers to leave after a few months. CTS’ projects in Morocco end up in summer 2010.

End of activities in Morocco
CTS has chosen not to pursue activities in Morocco, but to look to new areas.
